Polymath. Scanner. Renaissance man.
I’ll admit, I don’t really know what to call myself anymore. There’s not an easy way to say that I want my life to have a little bit of everything.
Freelance writer. Pro sports mascot. Singer/songwriter. Long-term traveler. Guitarist. Social justice activist. Actor. Entrepreneur. Tamer of unicorns. Dreamer of dreams… et cetera.
My path has been long and windy, my interests varied. I’m pretty good at a wide array of things, because my main love is learning. That means filling my life with new experiences, high quality relationships, music/dance/art, and a whole buttload of world travel.
I want to share it all. I want to tell you everything. I’m writing because I want you to know.
Why? How? Huh?
In September 2015, after a devastating breakup, I embarked on a four month solo journey across Europe. I’ve done a fair amount of traveling, but this particular trip changed how I think about my place in our world, and I committed to becoming one of these “digital nomad” folks you hear so much about so I can continue the relentless onslaught of adventures.
I finance my seasonally semi-nomadic lifestyle through a variety of freelance writing services, digital music sales, and sometimes with wacky, alternative income streams like busking or street performing.
What can this blog do for you?
If I can help you through my writing, I want to do it. That might mean you gain useful information. It might mean you learn through my mistakes. It might just be that I helped entertain you for a little while.
If you want to learn about the pursuit of the digital nomad lifestyle, you’ve come to the right place. I’m wiggling my way through a giant, confusing pile of information on the internet about how to do it. Follow my journey. Maybe even get inspired to start yourself.
If you want to hear smart, dynamic, heartfelt, lyric-driven folk-rock music, then that’s awesome. Seriously, I love you. Click on the MUSIC tab and begin your listening journey.
If you just want to hear wacky travel stories and misadventures, well ohmygoodness I’ve got a ton. Try clicking the TRAVEL tab at the top and see what jumps out at you.
I’m also a little bit of an overthinker, which might make me a philosopher of sorts? I have a fair amount to say about human priorities and how I choose to live my life. Sometimes I try to explain not just what I do, but why. If you’re interested in those musings, it’s the LIFESTYLE tab you want.
Thank you for being here.
I’m really just grateful that you’d take the time to join me. I have a lot to share.
